Nicole Richie, who made headlines recently for her lavish wedding to Good Charlotte member Joel Madden, has another reason to celebrate. Her probation was terminated early.
Richie's probation was terminated in the Los Angeles courts on Wednesday. Her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, presented proof that Richie had completed all the terms of the probation.
Among the terms was an alcohol education program Richie had been enrolled in for 18 months. She reportedly completed it with a glowing review.
Richie was on probation for a DUI in 2006 where she was caught driving on the wrong way on an L.A. freeway. She served only 82 minutes of her jail sentence before being placed in probation.
The probation period was originally scheduled to end in February, so Richie was exonerated two months early.
